Henry Ford, like Benjamin Franklin, Steve Jobs, and other entrepreneurs we’ve highlighted, fundamentally changed the way people live. He presented his first automobile model to Thomas Edison in 1896, who told him to build a better model. Seven years later, he established the Ford Motor Company and began development of the Model T.
Henry Ford was known for paying his employees well to ensure that good workers would want to stay with the company. He introduced the assembly line technique of mass production, which signaled a breakthrough in the Industrial Age, and a breakthrough for America, a young, vulnerable country at the time.
